LYNSEY STEINBERG, MSMI, CMI
Board Certified Medical Illustrator
Innovation Specialist for the Center for Instructional Innovation
Doctoral Student in Computer Sciences, Augusta University
Assistant Professor for the Department of Medical Illustration
It was during an undergrad equine anatomy class at the Savannah College of Art and Design where Lynsey realized her passion for the amalgamation of science and art. Replacing written exam answers with anatomical drawings led her into this unique profession of Medical Illustration.
Lynsey graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2009 with a BFA in Illustration, a master of science degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2012, and earned her board certification in 2016. Since joining Augusta University, she has earned her gamification certification and was one the founder of the three leaders of the annual INNOVATE student competition at Augusta University.
Lynsey has been able to experience hands-on surgery, developing virtual reality, 3D printing, animation, gamification and marketing while working directly with students, faculty, and physicians. She applies industry techniques for new concepts, and creates connections so we can solve problems together.
I am committed to providing the heath sciences industry with creative problem solving solutions in a perfect balance of scientific accuracy and visual aesthetics. Each problem is solved effectively and efficiently from conceptualization to utilization.
